Gods/Goddesses
There are numerous Greeks and goddesses but out of all of them there are 12 gods that are the main gods. These gods were some of the first gods/goddesses.
Zeus- the ruler of all the other gods and the king of the sky.
Hera- Zeus’s wife and sister and the goddess of marriage.
Hades- the god of the underworld
Poseidon- Zeus’s brother and the god of the sea.
Demeter- goddess of agriculture
Ares- god of war
Athena- goddess of wisdom and war
Apollo- god of sun, poetry, and music
Artemis- goddess of moon and the hunt
Aphrodite- goddess of love and beauty
Hermes- messenger of gods and goddesses and god of travel
Dionysus: god of wine and theatre
Other Gods:
Hephaestus- god of fire and metalwork
Hestia- Zeus’ sister and the goddess of the hearth (family fire)
